Do you need a database development tool?

Over the past 10 years or so we have seen majority of developers moving from simple text based editors to full-featured graphical development tool popularly known as Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Pipes - Unix in the Web 2.0 world

Yahoo has introduced new functionality called PIPES. Conceptually very similar to unix pipes where data is passed between two interacting entities (Writer writes to write fd and reader reads from the read file descriptor)

SOA's Killer App

When I have presented at various events around the world I have always been asked, with respect to PocketBuilder and the MS Windows Mobile platform... What is the Killer App? For me, thats always been a simple question to answer. IMHO its been a combination of POOM (Pocket Outlook Object Model), Telephony (for WM Phone Edition devices), integrating Camera/Sound and GPS/Navigation etc..... My Insurance Assessor App would be it!
