Services in Sybase WorkSpace
In my last post I mentioned that I would try to explain how WorkSpace tries to simplify the task of creating Services and the tools that are available in this area, but before I do, I want to note that I think that Services in an SOA are currently being used, in most situations, to solve integration issues in enterprises and then to construct composite applications that add some additional business logic - this suggests to me that most Service development is being done using a bottom up approach rather than top down. Top down is still possible and feasible, but only once the assets in the enterprise are already available as services.
